Hamburger Soup


  • 1lb Ground Meat
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 4 Celery Stalks
  • 2 beef bullion cubes (or 2 cups of stock)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 can chopped carrots
  • 1 can green chilies
  • Salt and pepper
  • (optional) 3 potatoes

Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆

Description: Like a summertime burger in a bowl! An easy to make recipe if you've got some ground beef but no buns.


  1. Chop onions and celery into small chunks and put in a large pot on low heat with ground beef, salt, and pepper.
  2. Wait for the beef to brown, then add in 2 cups of water and 2 bullion cubes tomato paste, soy sauce, drained carrots, and chilies.
  3. Simmer on low heat for 90 minutes.
  4. Optional: Peel and boil potatoes until soft and tender. Cut into 1 inch cubes and drop into the soup.
